Under a World Bank-financed water-sector programme, TDS is rehabilitating, supplying, installing and commissioning weather, surface-hydrology and groundwater monitoring stations across Tanzania’s basin water boards, together with a modern data-reception centre at national and basin level. The integrated network is designed for permanent, real-time operation and feeds a national water-resources information system, river forecasting and early warning, and basin planning. Training, spare parts and long-term technical support are part of the scope.
