Borehole Geophysical Logging for Hard-Rock Lithium Exploration

Back to all projects
Scope

TDS logged natural gamma, induced polarisation, magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity and hole verticality.

In the exploration drill holes of the same lithium prospect, TDS logged natural gamma, induced polarisation, magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity and hole verticality. The logs were depth-matched to the core, giving a continuous record of lithology and physical properties even through intervals of poor core recovery and placing the pegmatite contacts accurately in depth. The logged properties define the physical signature of the pegmatites against their host rocks and were used to calibrate the drone and ground surveys, linking surface anomalies to rock properties measured at depth; verticality logs put every intercept in its true position in the 3D model.

Outcome

What the platform delivers

  • Direct, depth-referenced data that turned surface anomalies into a constrained subsurface model and more reliable targets for the next drilling phase.
