Job Description:
Join TDS as a Senior Backend Engineer and help us build scalable, high-performance solutions for enterprise and government projects in the water, environmental, and digital transformation sectors.
We are looking for a highly skilled backend engineer with strong experience in C# and .NET technologies, solid system design capabilities, and the flexibility to travel whenever project requirements demand.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using C# and .NET technologies
- Build and optimize microservices, integrations, and enterprise-grade applications
- Collaborate with frontend developers and project stakeholders
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance and reliability
- Prepare technical documentation and support deployment activities
- Travel when required for client meetings, workshops, deployments, or project support
Requirements
- 5–8 years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and backend design patterns
- Experience with SQL databases and ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure is a plus
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
- Willingness and ability to travel whenever needed
Big Plus
- Experience working with React.js or Next.js
- Experience with SignalR, messaging systems, or event-driven architecture
- Experience in scalable SaaS or multi-tenant platforms
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments
- Previous experience in environmental, IoT, GIS, or data-driven systems
